V.R.R. Tour 26 News – Spring 2016 – Berlin
I’m delighted to announce that the Official Club tour will be returning to the German capital for the first time in 10 years, for what will surely prove to be a stunning and unique running experience.
Ever wondered what it’s like to go beyond 21.1km? Well the BIG 25 Berlin event sets this challenge with a 25km run, which takes in all the main, city centre sights on a flat, fast course that finishes inside the world famous Olympic Stadium (also home to the 2009 World Athletics Championships). If 25km isn’t for you, there are plenty of other stadium finish options too; comprising a Half Marathon plus a 10km and 5x5km relay.
Berlin, of course, also provides fantastic tourist attractions as well amazing restaurants, clubs and bars!!!!
So as usual …….. here’s all the vitals to kick start your tour experience.
Event Date – 15th May
Start Time: 10am
Full details (in English) and on line entry can be found at:
11,480 runners in 2015.

Hotels & Getting Around
Great choice of good quality, reasonably priced accommodation in immediate city centre, which has excellent public transport links with both Schoenefeld Airport and the Olympic Stadium (start / finish location).
When choosing accommodation, it is recommended you consider somewhere within walking distance of either a U-Bahn or S-Bahn station. Lots of good advice on travelling in Berlin (inc. ticketing) can be found at:
Insurance & Medical Assistance
Like any holiday, don’t forget to arrange adequate insurance for your trip.
In addition, if you haven’t got one already, you should also travel with a valid / up to date, European Health Insurance Card (formerly the E111) – see https://www.gov.uk/european-health-insurance-card
