V.R.R. Tour 29 News – Autumn 2017
By popular demand this year’s Autumn tour will see us return to Espana for a truly unique event in the form of the 9th EDP Bilbao Night Marathon Event on Saturday 21st October.
In addition to a 42K run (2 laps), there are Half Marathon and 10km options; all accompanied by fireworks and live performances on an urban circuit through the main streets of Bilbao. Race starts from San Memes Stadium and finishes outside the spectacular, world famous Guggenheim museum.
Bilbao is the de facto capital of the Basque country in Northern Spain and has a wealth of amazing buildings, squares, museums and churches to occupy your time. You can also head off for a bit of beach life in the beautiful coastal city of San Sebastian; just over an hour away by car / bus.
So as usual …….. here’s all the vitals to kick start your tour experience.
Full details in English and on line entry available now at http://www.edpbilbaomarathon.com
Race Start Time: 8:30pm
Bib and timing chip pick up available on Friday and Saturday up until 7.30pm.

Easyjet flying from Manchester:
Departing 18:30 Friday, 20th and Returning Monday or Tuesday at 10:55 – Cost circa £88 (ex hold luggage, pre booked seats & booking fees). Thursday / Mon trip would be £73.
No other direct low cost airline options from Northern England airports. Nearest alternative would be from London Stansted; again with Easyjet. Return prices approx. £77.
