Thursdayโ€™s Willaston run: review

Tonight it was a record turnout so far, for this year’s Summer runs with 45 runners setting off from Hadlow Station ๐Ÿš‚ Willaston to Neston Cricket club Parkgate and back. (The handicap run)๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ

Once again weather conditions were perfect a lovely dry evening to take on the Wirral Way..โ›…

Of course we couldn’t leave until Dave arrived…last minute !! โŒš๐Ÿ™‰

But it was great to set off together as one group and enjoy friendly banter and encouragement along the way.

Tonight’s run saw individuals taking on their own challenge whether it was to push for time, go the distance, (or to run even further to the Boathouse end of Parkgate and back) Whatever the choice there was no lack of ‘good will’ between us ๐Ÿ‘ as we passed each other along the way and for those on their way back whilst some of us were still on the way out!!

It’s what being part of a VRR is all about…friendship and encouragement ..taking the time to tell each other how amazing we are, how well we are doing and to ..’keep going you are doing great’.

Everyone made it home and we were all winners of our own race ..๐Ÿ’ช there’s even something good about being one of the last ones back as you get the biggest cheer ..mainly because everyone’s getting cold and hungry waiting for you ๐Ÿ˜‚.

It wouldn’t be a VRR run without food and drink๐Ÿท๐Ÿ”๐Ÿป๐Ÿป so it was off to the Nags Head. Then great to catch up with stories from the London Marathon and each others plans for races this year.

Let’s see if we can keep up the record numbers of runners next week ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ
