Hoylake run – John’s thoughts

The Green Lodge Run… on a day when the weather threatened so much, πŸŒ§β›ˆβ˜€οΈπŸŒ© 26 eager runners πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ gathered in Hoylake for another summer of beach running to West Kirby, then the lap round the lake in what was probably the warmest time of the day, the threat of rain was gone, so the quicker runners had gone ahead at a pace, whilst the gentle paced gang took it leisurely enjoying the views across to 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 , knowing at the end of the lake is the climb up the killer hill..Tony Clixby encouaging Jack Kiley to the summit, Grandad Dave and Gerry giving me the will to get there to the top..hard work by all, then its it’s all downhill back to Hoylake, me..well i went straight to the Hoylake Lights spoons..knowing there’s 🍺🍺🍺waiting. Jennie Brown had kindly sought out the tables for food 🍽, curry, burgers πŸ”πŸ₯˜πŸŸ fish n chips, scampi and fun, Jack trying to guess who Freddie Mercury is was an absolute hoot, Bassey, Farage, even Lionel Blair were a number of names thrown in πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, was another great socialising event after a long challenging 6 mile run… next week, it’s the carvery run… but another killer hill to tackle πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯😟
