Oval track session: review

What a great morning to blow away the cobwebs of the last few days – a β€œChariots Of Fire β€œ Olympic style run πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈaround an athletic track, and thirteen willing participants from the best running club on the Wirral πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ₯‡πŸ₯ˆ. Great coaching from Tony Clixby and Bob, whose running knowledge is very inspirational. We started off with a gentle mile, 4 laps of the track, just to warm us up… then two 800m reps, although I was more holiday rep πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ along with some warm downs in between. Finishing off with another warm down mile run round the track to finish, Tony had his camera on hand to capture the pained faces πŸ₯΄πŸ₯ΊπŸ€ͺπŸ“Έ but did get some good action shots when we all did 200m sprints for the ultimate action shot. We hope to make this a monthly Sunday morning event, so keep checking the newsfeed and let’s go for some PBs in races to come.
