What a great turnout tonight for the Parkgate run despite a week of miserable weather ☔💧💧☔🌂34 runners 🏃🏃 set off from the Old Quay to pick up the Wirral way towards Heswall. Considering the amount of rain and flooding, conditions were good a few puddles to jump in or over and patches of mud but no one was complaining 😄..
Spirits were high as the sun 🌞 did it’s best to sneak through the clouds ..⛅.
At the point where you choose the longer or shorter run the majority took on the Hill: it’s always a challenge – it’s a tough climb 💪💪 and gives such a great buzz, especially on the way back down 😃.
For the rest it was up and down, over the bridge to the paths along the front back towards Parkgate
There were 2 runners 🏃🏃who headed off in the wrong direction ⤴⤵?? but managed to get 🔙 on track!
Of course great support as always as each runner got home 🙌🙌..
Also lovely to have Katrina from California join us for the run and one of 29 who stayed for drinks and food 🍻🍷🍗🍜🍨 at the Old Quay afterwards.
Many of us devoured the lovely carvery/ roast dinner 🍗🍗 to finish off another fantastic evening VRR summer run. 🏃🏃🌞
