Jo Blogs About…….Parkgate

What a great turnout tonight for the Parkgate run despite a week of miserable weather โ˜”๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’งโ˜”๐ŸŒ‚34 runners ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ set off from the Old Quay to pick up the Wirral way towards Heswall. Considering the amount of rain and flooding, conditions were good a few puddles to jump in or over and patches of mud but no one was complaining ๐Ÿ˜„..

Spirits were high as the sun ๐ŸŒž did it’s best to sneak through the clouds ..โ›….

At the point where you choose the longer or shorter run the majority took on the Hill: it’s always a challenge – it’s a tough climb ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช and gives such a great buzz, especially on the way back down ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

For the rest it was up and down, over the bridge to the paths along the front back towards Parkgate

There were 2 runners ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒwho headed off in the wrong direction โคดโคต?? but managed to get ๐Ÿ”™ on track!

Of course great support as always as each runner got home ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ..

Also lovely to have Katrina from California join us for the run and one of 29 who stayed for drinks and food ๐Ÿป๐Ÿท๐Ÿ—๐Ÿœ๐Ÿจ at the Old Quay afterwards.

Many of us devoured the lovely carvery/ roast dinner ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ— to finish off another fantastic evening VRR summer run. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒž
