Johnnyboy blogs….the summer fun run

What a great turnout for our annual summer pub run πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸΊ, 31 eager runners and drinkers πŸ˜‰ had gathered in costumes of all shapes and sizes looking to the heavens for the rain 🌧🌧 to stop, then behold πŸŒ¦β›…οΈπŸŒ€β˜€οΈ just at the right time, mr sunshine came out and off we went on our β€˜very merry β€˜ way to the first port of call, the Three Stags 🍺 the tooting cars πŸš™πŸš˜πŸš— beeping their acknowledgement at this crazy gang of runners, some of the costumes a sight to see, great efforts from Steven Leslie, Sandra Riley, Donna Mckeown, Lucy Mc, Emily Mc to name but a few. Drinks and photos πŸ“ΈπŸΊ done, then off to the Rose and Crown, a pub so small we decided to take to the pavement and catch the evening sun 🌞 before the 200m dash, stagger πŸ˜‰ to the β€˜welly’ always welcomed there by the staff πŸ‘πŸ‘ and the curious customers, the party was in full swing by now, the 🍺🍺🍺 was taking effect. The Railway was next, and again a good welcome from the bar staff, the tills ringing πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’΅πŸ’΅πŸ’ΈπŸ’Ά for an hour or so. Then the run/wobble/stagger through sleepy Port Sunlight for the costumed warriors to the Bridge Inn. The final pub before running back to base for some much needed food πŸ₯ͺπŸ₯ͺπŸ₯ͺ🍟🍟🍟and a few more drinks. And we were joined at the end by Garry Swaby , no fancy dress run would be complete without a swaby special, and the return of his β€˜Brazilian β€˜ Pammy Anderson outfit, what a sight that is charging down the A41 . Back to the village and great of Mark Critchley and the team for catering for us, much appreciated indeed, and congratulations to Steven Leslie and Lucy Mc on winning the respective costume awards πŸ†πŸ† well deserved. Jennie for being a chauffeur for Amy Walker, and great to see her running too, another step towards recovery πŸ‘ It was another great night and thoughts will now turn to what next year’s theme will be. Next up…The Handicap πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ†
