30 runners 🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️ met at the Green Lodge tonight for one of the last 😭 of the Summer runs.
Fluorescent 🏃♂️runners set off along Stanley road towards the beach 🏖 everyone settled into groups and it was onto the sand hills towards West Kirby. This is a lovely stretch that really warms up the legs 🦵🦵and whilst its tough running into the wind it does keep you cool..
Next its round the Marine Lake ⛵⛵ and we had perfect conditions tonight with no wet feet.👍👣👣 👟👟
At the end of the lake its decision time.🤔 .up the killer hill or back along the promenade????
The majority tackled the hill…last time till Christmas Eve 🎅.🎄🎄..and at least if you go up you have to come down….And downhill it was to the centre and towards Hoylake… definitely the opportunity to pick up speed and 🏃♂️run for your supper !! 😊🍟🍔🍻
Back at the Green Lodge to everyone cheering each other home from a great run👏👏👏💪
This has to be one of the most varied and scenic routes…and even though weather was threatening to rain ☔🌧 we were lucky ☘ to stay dry ☁️ enjoy each other’s company 👬👭 and be thankful 🙏 of living in Wirral and having some of the best, safe and stunning routes right on our doorstep..😍
Wetherspoons welcomed a rather sweaty, and bedraggled bunch of runners in (goodness knows what people must think) for our usual catch up, meals and drinks, great end to a great evening 🍻🍷🍲🍕🍿.
Grandad Dave (who is always the one ranting on about the use of mobile phones) only went and broke the new rule of no phone🤳 at the dinner table again !! 🙉🙈
OMG that’s the 2nd time the only excuse is .
it’s old age…ha ha only Grandad Dave could get away with it …
Anyway…Cant wait to do it all again next year 🏃♀️🏃♂️🥰
