And so, it’s farewell to the summer runs of 2019 👋👋🌞, though in true British tradition 🇬🇧 it rained on the parade 💦💦accompanied by a gusty breeze 🌬🌬💨, nonetheless 16 hardy runners 🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️gathered at the floral pavilion, which was closed so we couldn’t shelter from the elements 🥶🥶, so the only option was for us to get running to warm up the body. But wait…. there’s mutiny amongst us, do we run to Seacombe Ferry ⚓️⛴ or do we run to Leasowe Lighthouse 💡💡a show of hands ✋🤚and most had gone on the winter route of Seacombe…three dared the longer route to Leasowe, myself, Donna Mckeownand Mark Critchley took on the challenge, the wind favourable going out and coming back, the downside was…it was a longer distance 🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️and everybody else had finished before the rains arrived 💦🌧☔️, but the seahorse awaited..nothing better after a run than a few 🍺🍺and some good food 🍔🥩🍟🍗🍖🍰🍨and putting the world 🌎 to rights. In general it’s been a great summer of running for all of us, the winter runs start now 🌛🌙🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️ when we get lit up like a Christmas 🎄 tree. Safety first. And on the bright side 🇧🇪Ghent is just around the corner…keep on running..
