Christmas run summary

VRR Pub runs. Possibly sponsored by Carlsberg!! Yet another great night. Could have been the best one yet. Well done to Garry Swaby and Carolyn Atherton for winning the prizes for best costumes.πŸ‘πŸ‘. Thanks also to Mark Critchley and the Village Hotel for providing food for the masses. Looking forward to next years Summer pub run already. Glam Rock anybody??? John Milward

The Christmas pub run πŸŽ…πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈT’is the season to be jolly, and it never failed to deliver, again some great costumes as we gathered in the foyer, some of the gang already having a pre run libation 🍺🍺🍺 then we we’re off, charging up the A41 to the sound of hooting car horns, runners lit up like Christmas trees πŸŽ„ all on the hoof to the Three Stags 🦌🦌🦌🍺 and again, top marks to all the pubs for their continued support on our crazy fancy dress runs πŸ‘ 🍺🍺 a few drinks consumed and some photos πŸ“ΈπŸŽ₯ and we were off again, a long run to the Rose & Crown πŸ‘‘ we were then joined by the biggest Santa head we have witnessed πŸŽ… courtesy of Brian Seal, who must have roasted in that πŸ₯΅, next stop, the Wellington 🍺, gets easier now, less distance between pubs πŸ˜‰ and it’s starting to get that more crazier, the libations are starting to have an effect πŸ€ͺ🀩, the photo’s a bit more raucous, in a good way, off we go again πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈto the Railway 🍺 and by now, it’s full on crazy, Brian’s big Santa head is now doing the rounds, crazy Garry Swaby starting off the trend, along with his big blonde went totally nuts after that, impromptu burst of karaoke 🎀 as the classic Rod Stewart’s β€œ do you think I’m sexy β€œ was belted out..we have our entrance theme now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ next stop, and a more sluggish run/stagger/ walk saw us to the final pub 🍺 The Bridge Inn, catching the poor hapless barman off guard, myself and John Milward arriving first, then informing him there’s another 30+ crazy dudes following on πŸ˜‚ but coped well, we all got served..onto the final dash back to the Village, and massive thanks again to Mark Critchley and the team at the hotel for the hospitality πŸ₯ͺπŸ₯ͺ🍟🍟🍟🍺🍺 and the traditional best costume awards, won by Garry Swaby and Carolyn Atherton, well worthy πŸ‘πŸ‘. Again a fantastic event and so heartwarming to see Tony Clixby back on his feet and the road to recovery πŸ‘. We do it all again at the Christmas party πŸŽ‰ next week..without the outfits….or maybe not πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ John Brown
